Track 3 — WordPress for Developers

This is the advanced track of the program and focuses on understanding WordPress as a software platform, not just a CMS. You will learn how WordPress executes a request, how templates are selected, how the database is queried, and how plugins extend functionality. Instead of installing plugins, you will build them.

You will work with hooks (actions and filters), create custom post types, taxonomies, metadata structures, and dynamic templates. The course covers plugin development, admin panels, shortcodes, AJAX/REST interactions, performance optimization, caching, and debugging. You will also learn code organization, security practices, and deployment workflows. The final project requires building a real custom feature or plugin, giving you a portfolio piece and the practical skills required for WordPress developer jobs.
